What's Changing at Ashburn Core Pilates

Your questions, answered

We have some news to share, and we want to make sure you have every detail — including what it means for you.

The short version: Starting in September, we're bringing everything together into our Upper Studio and focusing fully on Pilates. Our Strength and Springboard classes will be winding down, with the last classes running through the end of August. Your membership is unchanged, and any Strength or Mat package credits you have left can now be used for any class — including reformer.

THE BASICS

Why is the Lower Studio closing?

After working with an outside consulting team and doing an in-depth review of our studio data, Danielle made the decision to refocus Ashburn Core Pilates fully on its signature reformer Pilates program. This move allows the studio to grow and enhance the experience our members love.

Is Ashburn Core closing?

Not at all — quite the opposite. We're consolidating into one studio and putting all of our energy into Pilates. Same studio, same community, everything in one place.

Why the change?

We're focusing on what we do best. Pilates — and the reformer especially — is the heart of this studio and where our community truly is. Bringing everything under one roof lets us pour everything we have into making that experience exceptional.

When does this happen?

• Strength, Springboard, and all Lower Studio classes run through the end of August.

• The September schedule goes live August 1, so you can book ahead as usual.

• September 1 runs with our consolidated schedule.

WHAT THIS MEANS FOR YOU

Is my membership changing? Is the price going up?

No change at all. Your membership covers our Pilates and Mat classes exactly as it does today, at the same price.

What happens to my Strength credits?

Good news — they're more flexible than before. Any Strength package credits you have left can be used for any class on our schedule, including reformer Pilates.

I just bought a Strength pack — did I lose that money?

Not at all. Those credits work for any class now, reformer included. Nothing is lost.

Can I still book Strength and Springboard classes?

Yes! You can still book Strength and Springboard classes between now and August 31st. Packages are no longer available, but you can use any existing packages/memberships, and you can book classes with single class purchases if you run out of credits. Any single Strength Training class purchases must be used by the end of August.

What about my Mat pack?

Any active Mat credits still work. Mat classes are part of your membership now, so going forward there's no need for a separate pack.

Are Mat classes done too?

No! We are going to hold Mat Pilates classes in the Upper Studio. There will be a select number on the schedule and they will now be limited to 5 clients, the same as reformer. Membership credits will apply to Mat classes, as they do now.

YOUR CLASSES

I've never done reformer. Can I start?

Absolutely, and we'd love to help you. Our Level 1 and Level 1+2 classes are built for beginners — no experience needed. Many of our clients started in Strength or Mat and now can't imagine life without the reformer. Come talk to us and we'll get you into the right class.

But I really want to keep doing strength training.

Here's something worth knowing: the reformer is resistance training. You're working against progressive spring load through your whole body, and classes will genuinely challenge you. A lot of our Strength regulars have been surprised by how hard it is. We'd love for you to try one and see.

Is the Upper Studio schedule changing?

Our Upper Studio schedule is staying as it is, and we're adding more — including our new Sunday classes added this month.

ANYTHING ELSE

What's happening to the Lower Studio space?

We're leasing it out. Our focus is right here in the Upper Studio, and that's where everything will be happening.

This is my favorite class and I'm disappointed.

We hear you, and your feelings make total sense. These classes have meant a lot to our community and we don't take this change lightly. Please come talk to us!

What if this doesn't work for me?

Come talk to us. Reach out to Courtney or Danielle and we'll work through it with you personally. You've been part of this studio and we want to take care of you.

Still have questions?

Please ask — in the studio, by email, or by phone. We'd so much rather talk it through with you than have you wondering. Thank you for being part of what we've built here. We're really excited about what comes next!
